The working principle of desulfurization and denitrification equipment is to use desulfurization absorbents to achieve desulfurization effect through chemical reactions. Desulfurizers have surface activity, catalyze oxidation, promote direct reaction of sulfur dioxide (SO2), accelerate the dissolution of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), promote the rapid oxidation of calcium sulfite (CaSO3) to calcium sulfate (CaSO4), enhance the precipitation of calcium sulfate (CaSO4), reduce the liquid to gas ratio, decrease the calcium to sulfur ratio, and reduce the evaporation of water. The desulfurization tower uses this working principle to achieve the effect of desulfurization.
When the concentration of sulfur dioxide (SO2) at the flue gas inlet of the desulfurization tower increases and exceeds the design value, the pH value in the absorption tower reaction tank decreases, and a larger calcium sulfur ratio Ca/S ratio is required. Without expanding the volume of the absorption tower reaction tank, calcium carbonate (CaCO3) can quickly dissolve, increase the concentration of calcium ions, and maintain the pH value of the slurry within the normal range, which has a certain buffering effect on the pH.
